Introduction to the GALAXY Classroom Science LIVE

Introductory Science training for teachers to launch your GALAXY Classroom

Learning by doing is the key to developing teachers who ignite inquiry into elementary classrooms. While attending live training, teachers will participate in hands-on investigations, view GALAXY videos, and develop their own understanding of how science happens by expanding their own personal experiences. Teachers get "down and dirty" in their training by going on an archaeological dig, building terrariums, designing and racing Pencil-E-Racers, and testing bubble gum, to name just a few of the potential hands-on highlights.

In addition to hands-on investigations, teachers explore compelling technology integrations such as GALAXY Online interactive lab simulations, GALAXY TV, e-mail, uses for presentation tools like PowerPoint, and using digital photos in their everyday lesson planning. Teachers are equipped with the experience and skills to return to their classroom as explorers who ask key minds-on questions of their young scientists.
