Classroom Technology I - Fundamental Strategies

This course is designed for teachers who want to learn basic computing skills and start to integrate technology more extensively into the curriculum. During an 8-week period of time you will be introduced to MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and selected online programs. In addition, you will learn how to integrate these applications into the curriculum, design and submit a technology-infused lesson plan, rubric, and selected instructional materials to enhance student learning and motivation in your field of study.

The course is taught using a wealth of technologies and teaching/learning strategies. You will interact with the instructor and class participants, review recorded presentations, utilize professionally prepared online technology tutorials, and read selected e-readings and instructional materials to improve your technology skills and knowledge level.
 
Classroom Technology I - Advanced Strategies

This course is designed for teachers who want to integrate technology more extensively into the curriculum and serve as technology leaders in the school. During an 8-week period of time you will get an opportunity to design and develop an electronic portfolio for use in your field of study. The portfolio will contain a technology infused lesson plan, reflections, and projects created in class.

The course is taught using a wealth of technologies and teaching/ learning strategies. You will interact with the instructor and class participants, review recorded presentations, utilize professionally prepared online technology tutorials, and read selected e-readings and instructional materials to improve your technology skills and knowledge level.
